About

It’s weird, right? Introducing yourself? How do you choose how to spin it? I feel like the standard would be:

Hi! I’m Katherine. I married my high school sweetheart and together with our two children, Pippin (4) and Scout (2), I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. At the moment, I am also glowingly gestating my third baby, tentatively nicknamed Roo. Blah blah Catholic, incorrigible reader, lapsed librarian, I drink a lot of coffee.

But you know what?

I don’t really like coffee. (Also, I never, ever, glowingly gestate.)

So how about this:

I’m Katherine and I never mop if I can help it. Before kids, I was a librarian, and I was pretty good at it; now I’m a full-time homemaker, and I’m not very good at it, but I’m grateful for the opportunity, and find it interesting. Here I’ll write about my adventures in motherhood, housekeeping, and faith.

You can read more about our past hijinks and jamborees at my now-ancient tumblr. I’ve also contributed periodically to my godsister-in-law’s blog, Carrots for Michaelmas and if you’re inclined, you can read my Strong Opinions on Jane Austen.
