It’s weird, right? Introducing yourself? How do you choose how to spin it? I feel like the standard would be:
Hi! I’m Katherine. I married my high school sweetheart and together with our four children, Pippin (10), Scout (7), Roo (5), and baby Teddy. I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Blah blah Catholic, incorrigible reader, lapsed librarian, I drink a lot of coffee.
But you know what?
I don’t really like coffee.
So how about this:
I’m Katherine and I never mop if I can help it. Before kids, I was a librarian, and I was pretty good at it; now I’m a full-time homemaker, and I’m not very good at it, but I’m grateful for the opportunity, and find it interesting. Here I’ll write about my adventures in motherhood, books, housekeeping, and faith.

You can read more about our past hijinks and jamborees at my now-ancient tumblr. I’ve also contributed periodically to my godsister-in-law’s blog, Carrots for Michaelmas and to Blessed Is She — and if you’re inclined, you can read my Strong Opinions on Jane Austen. I have also been published at Dappled Things: A Quarterly of Ideas, Art & Faith, Scary Mommy and Pray Tell.
You’re so hilarious! I can’t wait to meet you!
